On Boxing Day Mr Brain Morris did a sponsored head shave at The Green Dragon pub. He kindly donated the proceeds of £165 to Strawberry Kurlz. Thanks to Steve and Helen Wright of the Green Dragon for their donation.
On 10th December we held a coffee morning at the church house. We sold home made preserves and mince pies (well done Penny!!). We had a bric a brac stall and a raffle and also a kids craft corner. It was a successful morning and we raised £100.
Strawberry Kurlz and 4000 other Santas ran (well walked) the 4.5 miles around Newtown.One hour and twenty minutes later we crossed the finish line collecting over £500 in sponsorship.

On 9th July 2005 we held a promise auction at the Westwood hotel. We had over 40 lots including Welsh rugby tickets, a signed welsh football, a light aircraft ride and a years membership at a local golf club. Tony Evans was kind enough to act as our auctioneer and he did a wonderful job. We raised £1900 and Barclays bank matched £700 of that amount so the total for the night came to £2600!! We were all very happy and there were a few tears of joy at the support we have received.
On 11th June 2005, we held a funday at Oldford school (Kelseys former school). We had a number of stalls including bric a brac, Lucky dip, cake stall, guess the name of the teddy, tombola and a book stall. We also had a bouncy castle,(kindly borrowed by Clywd Alyn housing association), facepainting and a penalty shootout. Some parents also had their own stalls. A good time was had by all and we raised £360.
On 30th May 2005, we had a stall at Welshpool carnival. We had put posters around asking for unwanted items for our stall. We received a lot of things to sell, and hired a big market type stall to use on the day. We also had a face painting stall, both stalls were very busy all day and we attracted a lot of interest. We raised £290 which was brilliant.
Our first event was a coffee morning on Saturday, April 30th 2005 at the Corn Exchange in Welshpool Town Hall.
From the early start of 8.30(Waiting for the urn!)we were busy serving cups of tea, coffee and biscuits from 9.30.We also had two stalls which were home made cakes and bricabrac.
A raffle was drawn by our local MP, Mr Lembit Opik.
Leaflets were distributed and a video showing a documentary about PWS sufferers was running all morning.
Amazingly our grand total for the day was £202.Not bad for the first go!
Kelsey and ten of her friends took part in a sponsored bike ride, organised by Strawberry Kurlz,on Sunday, May 1st 2005.

The Eagles Rally co-ordinating team of Kevin and Annette sold the rally programmes for £2.00 each and after a brilliant sales pitch made £170! They kindly added £30 to make their donation up to £200.
